The one man psycheldelic rock outfit Dumbo Gets Mad will send you on a trip without the need for any extra substances. Dare I call ‘em a crazy cross between a Pink Floyd vibe and MGMT…why yes I will. Dumbo Gets Mad released his debut album, Elephants at the Door, at the beginning of this month via a pay with a tweet format ( a LP will be released later this month, check out his website for details). Starting with the intro “Limbo’s Village” the album really give you the feeling that you are starting off an an epic adventure leading into “Plumy Tale,” a track which has already been revolving around the blogosphere. As the record progresses each song really evokes emotions emulating different worlds from the darkness of “Why Try?” to the ecstatic feelings of “Self-Esteem.” As we head out of this brutal winter take a trip with Dumbo Gets Mad by grabbing album for free here.
