Katy B known for her vox on many DnB and dubstep tracks dropped her debut full length album today, On A Mission. If her mission is to become the queen of club pop, then she’s well on her way. In the UK, Katy’s popularity has been building for the last few years and hopefully she’ll be getting some more love stateside. Katy B was recently featured on Magnetic Man’s debut album on the track “Perfect Stranger,” which has been added to this album as well. Besides Magnetic Man (the collaboration of Benga, Skream, and Artwork…more on that another day) plenty of other electronica producers are featured; including Benga (solo), DJ Zinc, Ms Dynamite, and Geeneus. Katy’s voice is beautiful, infusing herself into each track seamlessly. Working with some of the best in UK’s electronica scene is it no surprise how well this album was mixed. The whole disc will keep any crowd bouncing for hours…even if the album only lasts just over 50 minutes. “Katy On A Mission” and “Perfect Stranger” have already been hits, lets see how many more of her tracks will blow up this year.
