Back in February we posted a track by The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, “Belong.” That song is the namesake of their sophomore album, which dropped last week Belong. The entire album has been available for streaming from their website since the beginning of March (and still is if you want to check it out in its entirety). Personally, I really enjoyed the album; with all the indie rock that seems to come out week after week, it’s always nice to catch a standout. Belong is one of those standouts. As we mentioned in our last post, the album was produced by The Smashing Pumpkins‘ producers Flood & Alan Molder whose talent shows throughout the album. The emotions of ‘TPOBPAH’ are highly intertwined into each song giving on the album a distinct personality that makes each track stronger.
